Active B-Complex is a balanced, hypoallergenic B-complex featuring the active forms of vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, and Quatrefolic® brand of (6S)-5- methyltetrahydrofolate. Quatrefolic is a novel form of folate that is stabilized as a salt of glucosamine. It is estimated to be 100 times more soluble than the commonly used calcium salt of 5-MTHF.
B12-Active provides 1,000 mcg of methylcobalamin in a fast-absorbing chewable tablet. Methylcobalamin is the active form of vitamin B12 which does not require conversion in the body. Several investigations have shown vitamin B12 levels decline with age, which is why many people prefer the active form.
